Guide to Kilburn

Kilburn is a culturally rich town in the heart of London, located approximately three miles from Charing Cross.

Home to people of numerous nationalities, Kilburn is proud of its cultural diversity and has one of the largest Irish populations in London. Approximately 13% of all people living in the area were born in Ireland, and a number of other communities flourish in Kilburn, including Pakistani, Ethiopian, Bangladeshi and Indian.

Properties in the area include stylish apartments, traditional terraces and spacious detached homes. Transport links to London are ample, and travel to the city can be done by car, train or bus.

Kilburn High Road is the main road through the town. Dating back to the Roman occupation of Britain, the road connects to the A5 and is home to the Kilburn High Road railway station. There are two railway stations in the area – the Kilburn High Road railway station and the Brondesbury station – both of which form part of the London Overground service and provide excellent transport links to the capital city.

The Kilburn High Road is also home to the town’s Tricycle Theatre, a renowned local amenity that comprises a trio of amusements, including a theatre, a gallery and a cinema. The theatre is well known for its exploration of hard-hitting cultural and political issues, with many of its plays centring around themes such as segregation and feminism.
