My Story: My fifteen Years of Success

Maria first joined Chancellors in November 2004. Maria has always had a passion for property and during her nine years working for us she has developed an in-depth knowledge of the local market. Maria’s friendly attitude has helped her to build long-term relationships and develop the success of the branches in which she has worked and her career simultaneously. Maria is now the Sales and Lettings Manager of our busy Leominster branch. As a result of her current role, Maria has gained a great understanding of both sales and lettings and became an accredited ARLA member in January 2012.

“I joined Chancellors in November 2004 and have enjoyed the past nine years working with a variety of different people for a company that has nurtured my skills and passion for the property industry.

I originally started as the Sales Manager of the Hereford branch and in 2005 moved to Kington to build and improve the office profile. I enjoyed five years there and in a short while I was managing both the Kington and Leominster offices. This allowed me to improve on key skills and build a vital local knowledge of the wider North Herefordshire, Powys and Marches border which are all areas of outstanding natural beauty.

For the past two years I have managed both the sales and lettings departments in the Leominster office. Chancellors encouraged and supported me to study for the ALRA exams to further my career and in January 2012 I was delighted to pass and become a qualified member. This additional skill base and industry-recognised qualification has supported me to grow a successful business.

I work extremely hard and my success is always recognised. Over my nine years of employment I have won many awards including the ‘Managing Directors Pick’ award at our annual business conference. I was also extremely proud to collect a Daily Mail award for Chancellors – ‘Best Estate Agent in Herefordshire’. This has all been in addition to handfuls of quarterly awards for my own personal success and that of my hard working team in Leominster. I have also attended many trips including an all-expense paid trip to Madrid, a skiing trip to Chamonix and a private dining experience in St John’s Wood.

Everyone likes to be successful and receiving acknowledgement and rewards from the company is a bonus for high achievers that few companies can or do offer.

The past nine years have been challenging, self-developing and rewarding in many ways. I look forward to continued success with Chancellors and working in the ever-changing property industry that makes every day different and exciting!”
