My Story: My 26 Years with Chancellors
Robert has been with Chancellors for 26 years. During his time with the company he has progressed as a direct result of his dedication and ambition and is now an Associate Director of our branch in Finchley. Robert has a fantastic knowledge of the local market and an excellent understanding of the property industry as a whole. His local reputation continues to bring new business to the already thriving Finchley office and his consistent hard work has helped him to become a well-recognised and respected member of staff.
“I joined the company in July 1987 when I was offered the job to manage the newly opened Finchley branch of Chancellors. I attended a full training course before I started and that was my first insight into Chancellors. It was good to meet some of the staff I was to be involved with. The training was one of the best I had experienced – we learnt about the Chancellors ethos and we were also filmed so we could improve on our customer service. I met many people, some who are still with the company and played a great part in my career with Chancellors.
I worked hard and got to know the market in Finchley inside out and our office continued to grow. In 2006 our Finchley office expanded and following the opening of a lettings department we progressed to being one of the biggest estate agents in the area.
Over the years I have attended many quarterly meetings and marvellous Christmas parties, where it is good to interact with other members of the organisation. I have won many prizes and have been on trips to Monte Carlo, the Algarve, Madrid and skiing in the French Alps to name but a few.
After 15 years I was promoted to Associate Director. It seems only yesterday that I joined the company and when I reached my silver anniversary year I was given a present to mark my long service with the company.
My office has gone from strength to strength since the day we opened. We have three sales staff, two lettings staff plus a full-time administrator. Many of our clients are repeat clients and we receive recommendations from numerous satisfied customers. I believe if you work that bit harder for your client and put the effort in you will succeed.”
