A delightful cottage surrounded by fields situated at the end of a no through road. The house offers a host of period features and wonderful garden.
South Hinksey village is a community of about 70 houses, set within the Oxford ring road, with many people going into Oxford to work. It’s a friendly place. There’s a village hall with a monthly ‘Mock Pub’ evening (the actual pub having finally closed) and a Christmas event; two book clubs, and a weekly Pilates class. There’s a regular parish newsletter and an email system which informs people of things happening locally, a lovely old Church and an annual village fete. There's no through traffic and a much used metalled footpath leads across the meadows to Oxford’s Abingdon Road and then on into the city. The centre of Oxford is about two miles as the crow flies. https://southhinksey.org
The house is set on the edge of the village overlooking fields. Quite a part of the garden is now given over to wildflowers and there’s a wildlife pond and a raised bed vegetable garden. The garage has been adapted to form a light and spacious studio (but could easily be used as a garage again if required).
