Sunshine, laughter, and a strong sense of community filled the air as Burghclere Primary School hosted its much-anticipated annual Summer Fete on Saturday 5th July 2025. From 11 AM to 2 PM, the school grounds transformed into a vibrant hub of activity, welcoming families, friends, and neighbours for a day of fun, games, and celebration.
Organised by the Friends of Burghclere School (FOBS), the fete featured a delightful mix of traditional stalls, live entertainment, and hands-on activities for all ages. Children enjoyed classic games like hook-a-duck and the coconut shy, while adults browsed local crafts, homemade treats, and raffle prizes generously donated by community sponsors.
One of the highlights of the day was the “Chill Zone,” a new addition to the school’s outdoor space, which offered a relaxing retreat for families to unwind and enjoy refreshments. The event also showcased performances by students, adding a personal and heartwarming touch to the festivities.
Funds raised from the event will go toward enriching the school’s extracurricular programs and enhancing learning resources, ensuring that students continue to thrive both academically and personally.
