Earlier this September, the heart of Herefordshire came alive as the annual Kington Show returned with a vibrant celebration of agriculture, local talent, and family fun. Set against the rolling hills of the countryside, the event drew crowds from near and far, eager to experience one of the region’s most cherished traditions.
From the moment guests arrived, the showgrounds buzzed with excitement. Clear signage guided visitors through the Members Entrance and Public Entrance, setting the tone for a well-organised and welcoming day.

Children were especially thrilled to explore a real fire truck from the Hereford & Worcester Fire Rescue Service, climbing into the driver’s seat and learning about fire safety in a hands-on, engaging way.
Inside the bustling tents, spectators were treated to a live sheep shearing competition, where skilled shearers showcased their craft to an enthusiastic audience. Local businesses like Rhayader Animal Health Ltd. also had informative displays, highlighting their role in supporting the region’s farming community.
