Guide to Mill Hill

Mill Hill is a suburb in London, within the London Borough of Barnet, located around 9 miles north-west of Charing Cross.

The suburb is made up of three different districts – the original Mill Hill Village, Mill Hill Broadway and Mill Hill East.

Mill Hill Village is a ribbon development along The Ridgeway, with a green belt situated at either side. There are plenty of green open spaces in the area, notably within Arrandene Open Space and Featherstone Hill, which is home to a plethora of fields, meadows and woodlands.

Mill Hill Broadway is the area’s main hub. It is a suburban district with a strong retail area with a vast number of shops, cafes, restaurants and transport links.

Mill Hill East has undergone redevelopment over the years, with the old gas works being replaced by housing developments and a Waitrose supermarket. There is a prominent local retail area in Mill Hill East, known colloquially as Kelly’s Corner. The area has a string of shops popular with local residents.
