Hampton is a picturesque suburban town located in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Situated on the north bank of the River Thames, it lies amidst a scenic background of stunning natural riverside and is home to one of the country’s most renowned palaces, the historic Hampton Court.
The area boasts an impressive array of beautiful properties. In the north, traditional terraced houses remain popular, with modern semi-detached houses being built predominantly in the south.

Hampton is home to a number of excellent schools, including the independent all-girls school, Lady Eleanor Holles School, and the all boys’ school, Hampton School. As well as being ranked 83rd in the country’s schools league table, Lady Eleanor Holles School is proud to boast an impressive array of former students, many of whom have gone on to participate in the Women’s Oxford vs. Cambridge Henley Boat Race. There are a number of primary schools in the area, too, including the 100-year-old Hampton Junior School and Hampton Court House.
Hampton has a number of excellent transport links and many people from the area choose to commute to central London daily for work. There are three main railway stations in Hampton: Hampton (London), Fulwell and Hampton Court. Bus services operate throughout the area, including routes 111, R68, 216, 411, R70 and 285.
