We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join us as a Developer in a fast-paced and dynamic development team involved throughout the software development life cycle.
As a Developer, you will gain exposure to a wide range of exciting and cutting-edge technologies and will be involved in supporting existing systems across several products as well as the development of new functionality.
This role would be suitable for a .NET Developer who has graduated from University with at least two years commercial development in .NET framework (ASP.NET, C#, .Net Core, SQL, AngularJS, Javascript, jQuery, etc.). We would expect this candidate to be actively involved with problem solving and debugging system issues, designing and building enterprise level functions, and act as an integral part of IT Development Team.
Based on the architecture design of our system, you will be exposed to frontend programming languages – JavaScript, AngularJS, Node.JS and React, and backend technologies in ASP.NET framework (e.g. C#, SQL, ASP.NET, .Net Core) as well as understanding databases, software development techniques, CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, CircleCI or AppVeyor), test driven development and how to plan and manage your own work.
We are looking for a good communicator who will discuss and clarify requirements with the stakeholder throughout the software development lifecycle.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years commercial software development experience.
- Be prepared to work as part of a team and work towards tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with your own initiative and prioritise workload accordingly.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate appropriately with management, team members, customers and third parties.
- Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for self-learning and adopting new technologies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyse, design and code new software modules as per the agreed technical specifications.
- Create and maintain program documentation and version release notes.
- Perform first level testing of your own projects and second level testing of modules developed by other team members.
- Ensure new functions are compatible with the existing systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- C# .NET development experience.
- Development knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2017/2019 – inclusive of writing SQL queries, functions, stored procedures and triggers.
- Understanding of relational database concepts & design.
- Knowledge of RESTful Web API
- Exposure to Microsoft .NET environment, which should include (but not limited to) ASP.NET, LINQ, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS and SQL Server.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Understanding of Agile Development
- Test Driven Development
- Experience working with .Net Core
- Working knowledge of Node.js or React development
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI or AppVeyor
- Experience with AWS
