Didcot was granted Garden Town status six months ago and now a team of planning and infrastructure experts have been appointed for the project.
With the announcement of the town’s new status came the promise of 15,000 new homes and 20,000 hi-tech jobs over the next 15 years plus a focus on green spaces and sustainability.
Experts on the project team include planning and development specialist Quod; landscape architecture firm Novell Tullett; master planners Grimshaw; and engagement experts Future Cities.
A project plan will now be produced detailing the timetable of the work to be carried out over the next six months. The team will then produce a comprehensive plan outlining what Didcot Garden Town will include, which is expected to be finalised by Spring 2017.
Watch this space for updates on the plan and how it will benefit the local and wider community of south Oxfordshire.
