In fantastic news for Aylesbury the government has recently announced its support of a new garden town in this area as well as additional funding with a share of a £1.4 million pot to support their delivery. The garden town will be a development of more than 10,000 homes which will mean a significant increase in the volume of properties in Aylesbury within the next 15 years. This reflects the local booming housing market in Aylesbury and Buckinghamshire as a whole.

Our local presence in the area has truly paid off as the town is seeing further government investment bringing more jobs, services and housing into already strong performing markets.

“We have already seen substantial investment in new homes and the regeneration of Aylesbury town centre. Recognition by the government and financial support to promote the additional supply of homes in a vibrant town where there is such strong demand to live can only benefit existing and future residents and create further jobs and additional leisure and social facilities. We are seeing a boom in interest and sales in the town since our opening in 2015 which is set to continue into 2017 and beyond”- Nic Simmonds, Area Associate Director.

The investment in Aylesbury as a green town will likely improve transport links and green infrastructure, which could include new parks and cycle routes. The additional funding and support provided to a Garden Town will help the whole Aylesbury as a transport and employment hub.

The new garden project in Aylesbury will also have access to infrastructure funding programmes across government, such as the new £2.3 billion Housing Infrastructure Fund announced at this year’s Autumn Statement. In addition to the capital funding, the government will provide support in terms of expertise, brokerage and offer of new planning freedoms. All of this means there is key support by the government to ensure the property market in this area has a huge level of support to grow and succeed.
