Next month will see Bracknell town centre transform forever when the first stage of the regeneration work begins. The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) is working in partnership with Bracknell Forest Council to greatly improve Bracknell town centre.

Work starts in the northern end of the town centre along Crossway and Broadway with hoardings being put up around the site to enable the work to take place. It is expected that demolition works will commence in July and finish in October 2013.

Joining the new highly successful Waitrose store at the north end of town will be one of the UK’s leading cinema chains, Cineworld, and a new M&S store. Other developments include improvements to Princess Square and Charles Square. A proposed £50m development of Winchester House (the old 3M building) will consist of a 19-storey block of 311 flats, a gym and two business units suitable for restaurant or retail use.

As a large local employer, Chancellors estate agents Bracknell has its head office in the town employing around 100 staff across specialist sales, lettings and property management teams. No doubt they will all benefit from the regeneration as Chancellors is located within walking distance of the exciting new developments.

Terry Nice, Sales Manager at Chancellors Estate Agents in Bracknell, welcomes the redevelopment, “Having been a talking point in the Bracknell community for so many years, it’s great to see work start on the regeneration programme. It is such a positive step for Bracknell – clients are keen to talk about it and it may well increase demand for housing in the town.”
