Last week we asked:
What would you prefer, a smaller garden that is easy to maintain or a huge plot of land that requires more maintenance?
The votes have now been counted, and it was a clear win for ‘smaller gardens’! And so, we bring to you, our selection of properties with the perfect sized gardens to make your own.
From the lounge, you can open the sliding doors to your garden, and this gives it the feeling of extending your living space. The low-rise brick wall stylishly separates the lawn from the patio area, and there’s plenty of space for garden furniture. This patio area is particularly well suited for an outdoor table and chairs, but it’s also big enough for lounge chairs too. And when not out in the garden, we wouldn’t mind taking some time to enjoy the views from the conservatory either. More information available here.
We love this garden’s side courtyard. Depending on the occasion, it could be an ideal spot for a quiet retreat or a great place to host guests. We could imagine sitting back with a good book or enjoying an afternoon cup of tea or coffee, especially after a morning of tidying up the garden. The lawn area itself has been beautifully landscaped and would take no time at all to maintain. More information available here.
The Rowans, Sunbury-On-Thames
This courtyard garden comes with a sizable patio area, and this means less time spent cutting the grass and more time to relax and enjoy your garden. We particularly like the floral border that surrounds the grass area. There’s a seamless balance between garden features that give it character and functional space that can be put to practical use.
Every week, we will be running a poll where you can vote for your favourite type of property. We will find the property that meets the winning criteria and feature it in our future Property Spotlights. Over the next week, our question is this:
What would you prefer, a home that is more unique or a model home that is more uniform?
Head on over to our Facebook Page to cast your vote in this week’s poll.
