On the 23rd August 2022, one of our vendors brought in a sales brochure to our Newbury branch. It is the original brochure for their house that they purchased 56 years ago!
It was the first house ever built in the suburb which is now more commonly known as Wash Common.
The story behind the purchase is even more intriguing, as the purchaser was travelling to Inkpen in the days before the M4 and got a bit lost. He pulled over at the show home and asked for directions on where to go. The sales adviser said while you are here, come and have a look at the new homes, they loved it so much they ended up buying it!
