One of the major employers in the town is BAE Systems’ Maritime and Defence Information facility, occupying a large building in Lyon Way. Siemens opened its main UK headquarters in Frimley in 2007. Frimley Park Hospital, a large NHS and Ministry of Defence medical facility, is also situated in the town. Frimley railway station provides access to Guildford, Ascot and London Waterloo. Frimley Lodge Park Railway (a tourist attraction) is also nearby. The town is situated close to the junction of the A325 Farnborough Road and A331 Blackwater Valley Relief Road, which provides a link to the M3 Motorway junction 4. Frimley is a small town just south of Camberley. It is to the very west of Surrey, bordering Hampshire. The town forms part of the Borough of Surrey Heath and is connected to the M3 motorway by the Blackwater Valley Road and the Frimley bypass. The main shopping street includes a branch of Waitrose and some smaller shops, several restaurants, banks, charity shops, a post office, two public houses (the Railway Arms and the White Hart). Blackwater, a major retail park Farnborough Gate is also close, with many well-known brands like Next, Currys, TK Maxx and Costa. Another nearby retail outlet is the Meadows shopping complex, which boasts one of the UK’s largest M&S and Tesco superstores.
