The park itself covers around 54 acres of land and is partially semi-wild woodland. The central part of the park surrounds the ruins of Holland House and has several formal garden areas. The remains of the house create a dramatic backdrop for the open air theatre at Holland Park, which is the home of Opera Holland Park. The southernmost part of Holland Park is used for sporting activities. 

Holland Park is also home to the tranquil Belvedere Restaurant, a cricket pitch, a giant chess board, two Japanese gardens and numerous tennis courts. The Holland Park Ecology Centre provides environmental education programmes, which involve talks, nature walks, outdoor activities for children and practical educational resources for schools. Schools in the area include Holland Park School, a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with attained academy status. It has often been referred to as “the socialist Eton”.  

Holland Park is an affluent district, a street and a public park in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, west London. The area is characterised by stunning, tree-lined streets of large Victorian houses, and is home to a plethora of shops, tourist attractions, hotels, luxury spas and restaurants. The double-fronted houses in Holland Park are well-known for their size and width (each house is around 45 ft wide). 

The street is popular with celebrities; it has been home to Sir Richard Branson and David and Victoria Beckham, amongst other famous personalities. Holland Park (the street) comprises of three linked roads, including Holland Park Mews.
