Kew is also home to The National Archives, a record of over 1,000 years of British history.
The county maintains one of the UKs most extensive footpath networks for ramblers of all ages, and for those partial to cycling, there are numerous mountain bike trails, as well as the 2012 Olympic cycling route up Box Hill which have helped make Surrey a top outdoor destination.
